HYDRO SHELTER

New challenges for new technologies

In the course of new energy reforms, fossil raw materials must be replaced by renewable resources as much as possible. Two important building blocks here are electrification and decentralisation.

The electrical energy generated decentrally by photovoltaics and wind power must be stored so that the power does not run out when the feed-in is low, but also because the power grid in many areas cannot absorb the feed-in peaks. Two possibilities are ESS battery storage systems and electrolyzers to produce green hydrogen.

It makes sense to build electrolyzers, hydrogen fueling stations, etc. as plug-and-play modules, tested in the workshop and ready to be installed. With hydrogen, however, aspects such as diffusion and hydrogen embrittlement of the materials, as well as the explosion safety of the systems, must be taken into account.

HYDRO SHELTERs were developed specifically for these applications. INTERTEC combines decades of experience in the energy industry with the latest materials and computer-aided manufacturing methods.

Other applications

Battery Shelter

Battery shelters

Energy storage systems and off-grid power supplies use batteries. The life cycles of these batteries are temperature dependent, requiring precise temperature control inside the protection solution.

Actively, passively or hybrid cooled HYDRO SHELTERs dramatically improve long-term operating costs, especially near the sea, and in cold or hot climate conditions.

e-House

e-Houses

Electric processes and hydrogen are to replace plant components in existing industrial facilities that were previously powered by coal, oil or natural gas.

Pre-installed and fully tested e-House containers with switchgear, transformers, rectifiers and inverters can be lifted in by crane during operation and put into operation with a short interruption of the power supply. Effective use of space means that the prefabricated containers take up very little space, which is particularly advantageous in an existing production environment.

Modular Pilot Plant

Modular pilot plants

Many new processes and technologies are available at laboratory scale, but need to be scaled up to industrial scale via pilot plants.

However, scaling up the process to a commercial plant level may have an impact on production parameters. Similarly, the commercial plant may face different environmental conditions than the pilot plant. In both cases, it is essential that the same internal process conditions are maintained.

Our shelter solutions can meet these exact requirements because we can draw on highly experienced engineers and high-end software to coordinate all aspects of the design and operating environment when selecting construction materials, design, and optional features such as HVAC.
